The Pine Knights came tearing into Tuesday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by Dreyfoos School of the Arts at home to the tune of 61-27. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-16.
Zach Turner and Tyson Jimerson certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Turner scored six points along with two steals, while Jimerson scored six points. That's the first time this season that Turner grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Zidane Guerrier, who scored three points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Pine pushed their record up to 14-6 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Dreyfoos School of the Arts, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pine will take on Lake Worth Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dreyfoos School of the Arts, they will head out on the road to take on Berean Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
