Willis found their leader in underclassman Rebecca Vaughn, who scored eight points along with 13 rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Nija Calyen, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing The Woodlands the next time they take the court. Caney Creek will head out to face the Highlanders at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Wildkats will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
