This season hasn't been kind to the Fort Davis Indians, who are still winless after their tenth game. They took a 53-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dell City. If Fort Davis hoped to take revenge for the 62-43 loss against they when the teams met on Tuesday, then they were left disappointed.
Reyes Espinoza was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with five steals for Dell City. Espinoza is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Estrada, who scored seven points along with five assists and three steals.
Fort Davis' loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Dell City, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7.
Fort Davis the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Marfa at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. As for Dell City, they will head out on the road to challenge Van Horn at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Van Horn focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
