 Collinsville was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 366  rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Carbondale only rushed for 134.
 Meanwhile, Mt. Vernon didn't have quite enough to beat Marion on Friday and fell  37-34. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game  last Friday (31), the Rams still had to take the loss.
 Collinsville now  has a winning record of 2-1. As for Mt. Vernon, they now  have a losing record at 1-2.
