The Brighter Horizons Academy Stars's game two weeks ago was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They took down Coram Deo Academy 61-42. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Brighter Horizons Academy also won the last time the pair played back in January.
When it comes to explaining why Coram Deo Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Elliott Allen. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. It was the first time this season that Allen scored 15 or more points. Garrett Reid was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Brighter Horizons Academy's victory ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-10. As for Coram Deo Academy, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-18 record this season.
Brighter Horizons Academy will be playing at home against Bishop Dunne at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Coram Deo Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Legacy Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Coram Deo Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday.
