The Sumner Cowboys will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Pine Raiders at 5:00 p.m. Sumner has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 9.
Last Friday, Sumner came up short against the Warriors and fell 61-53. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Sumner in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, Pine unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 54-42 to Slidell. While losing is never fun, Pine can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Tigers are ranked 44th).
Sumner has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-23 record this season. As for Pine, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-14.
Sumner suffered a grim 67-45 defeat to the Raiders when the teams last played back in January. Will Sumner have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
