After both having extra time off, the Cedar Grove Saints and the Savannah Christian Raiders will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 1:00 p.m. on December 13th. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Cedar Grove sitting on seven straight victories and Savannah Christian on nine.
With a playoff game on the line, Cedar Grove rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 49-42 win over the Cavaliers. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Meanwhile, Savannah Christian put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 51-26 margin over Carver. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-6.
It was another big night for Zo Smalls, who rushed for 214 yards and three touchdowns. Smalls has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last six times he's played.
Their wins bumped Cedar Grove to 9-5 and Calvary Day to 13-1.
