The Borden Braves were the 58-51 winner over the Christian Academy Warriors when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Borden took a 55-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Christian Academy. Borden has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joshua Renfro, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds. Renfro is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Doss, who scored nine points.
Borden dropped their record down to 10-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 14-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Borden and Springs Valley will face off at 12:30 p.m. on February 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Springs Valley has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 653 points over their last nine contests. As for Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Evansville Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
