With a playoff win on the line, Grandview rose to the challenge on Saturday. They blew past the Fairfield Eagles 17-0. The Zebras might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 22 matchups by seven runs or more this season.

The victory was the 16th in a row for Grandview, bringing their record up to 28-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Fairfield, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 14-5.

Grandview will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair will be back at it again later today.
