The Chugiak Mustangs won the last time they faced the Eagle River Wolves, and things went their way on Friday too. Chugiak came out on top against Eagle River by a score of 43-36.
Eagle River's loss came despite strong showings from Brooklyn Rollman and Gabby Palozzini. Rollman dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds, while Palozzini dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Palozzini has scored all season.
Even though they lost, Eagle River smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
The win got Chugiak back to even at 4-4. As for Eagle River, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Chugiak will head out on the road to challenge Bartlett at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alaska (Bartlett is ranked 27th, while Chugiak is ranked 31st). As for Eagle River, they will be playing at home against Dimond at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dimond is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
