After flying high against the Triplains/Brewster Titans on Tuesday, the Greeley County Jackrabbits came back down to earth. Greeley County was outmatched by Quinter on the road and fell 57-17. Greeley County has struggled against Quinter recently, as their contest on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Quinter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kelsey Selensky led the charge by scoring eight points along with seven steals and six assists. Selensky set a new season high mark in rebounds with five. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Werth, who scored 11 points.
Greeley County bumped their record down to 2-4 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Quinter, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greeley County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Northern Valley at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Quinter will be home for the holidays to greet Hill City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hill City comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
