If Steel Valley was feeling good  fresh off their  11-1 takedown of McKeesport last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Steel Valley came up short against  the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Chargers on Wednesday, falling  14-4. The loss was the Ironmen's first of the season.
 Steel Valley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Adam Keesecker, who  went 2-for-3 with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run. That's the most  RBI  Keesecker has posted since back in April of 2024.
Steel Valley dropped their record down to 3-1 with the  defeat, which was their sixth straight  on the road dating back to last season. As for Our Lady of the Sacred Heart,  with the  win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Steel Valley will welcome Obama Academy of International Studies  at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, they will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against Taylor Allderdice  at 5:30  p.m.
