Fans got a thrill when Kevin Johnson and Denzel Franklin connected against King's Ridge Christian. The connection went for 69 yards, the longest such play in A Region 5 this season.
Pace Academy moved up to 99 from 170 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Knights climbed the ranks as a result of beating King's Ridge Christian 39-6.
Pace Academy's dynamic duo of Johnson and Kameron Uter proved to be unstoppable against Jason Couch's team, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Johnson threw for 261 yards and 6 touchdowns and Uter had 105 yards receiving. Franklin helped Pace Academy's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 69 yards.
Chris Slade's team's dynamic duo of Johnson and Uter proved tough for King's Ridge Christian to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Uter was the best wideout in the league this week as the Knights beat King's Ridge Christian.
Johnson put up the best numbers in passing as Pace Academy topped King's Ridge Christian.
Jameson Vest was the most successful running back in A Region 5 this week. In 29 carries, he ran for 168 yards as Our Lady of Mercy topped King's Ridge Christian.
Landmark Christian extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Mount Paran Christian, 14-7. The victory was the fourth in a row for the War Eagles.
