Ramsey is 10-0 against Cliffside Park since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Ramsey Rams the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Cliffside Park Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Saturday, Ramsey was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 41-35 to Northern Highlands. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Ramsey has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Cliffside Park came up short against Dumont on Tuesday and fell 60-52. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Cliffside Park in their matchups with Dumont: they've now lost seven in a row.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jerelz Ortiz, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and four blocks. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Thomas Calabrese, who scored 13 points.
Ramsey's loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-1. As for Cliffside Park, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
Ramsey strolled past Cliffside Park in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 by a score of 54-38. Does Ramsey have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cliffside Park turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
