Meanwhile, Plaza Heights Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Overland Christian on Thursday, taking the game 32-23. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Plaza Heights Christian Academy.
Plaza Heights Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sydney Berry led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and 22 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Berry has scored all season. Reece Cornine was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven steals.
Center Place now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Plaza Heights Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.
Tuesday's match is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Center Place have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 40.2 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Plaza Heights Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 27.6 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
