North Miami is 3-0 against the Generals since December of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The North Miami Pioneers' homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Jackson Generals at 5:00 p.m. on February 2nd. North Miami will be strutting in after a win while the Generals will be coming in after a loss.
North Miami can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent game on Wednesday. They put the hurt on South Dade with a sharp 54-30 win. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point North Miami had established a 23 point advantage.
North Miami found their leader in underclassman Jadore Hayes, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 30 rebounds. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Hayes has scored at least a third of North Miami's points. Donnesha Morencey was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 rebounds and ten assists.
Meanwhile, Jackson's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by Mourning 48-13.
North Miami's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-11. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.6 points per game. As for Jackson, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Everything came up roses for North Miami against the Generals in their previous matchup back in November of 2019 as the team secured a 61-10 win. With North Miami ahead 47-4 at the half, the match was all but over already.
