New Way Learning Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 25 points or more this season. They breezed by Telesis Prep on the road to the tune of 67-36. Given New Way Learning Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while Telesis Prep is ranked 228th), the result on Monday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Tri-City Christian Academy entered their tilt with Ville de Marie Academy with 26 consecutive wins dating back to last season but they'll enter their next game with 27. Tri-City Christian Academy put the hurt on Ville de Marie Academy with a sharp 59-39 win on Thursday.
Tri-City Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Fulvio Dos Santos, who scored 29 points along with six rebounds and five steals. The matchup was Dos Santos' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Carnes, who scored 11 points along with seven steals.
New Way Learning Academy pushed their record up to 4-1 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points per game. As for Tri-City Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
