The Lowndes Vikings''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 33-23 to Camden County. Lowndes lost against Camden County in their previous head to head back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 48-21 score last time.
Several Vikings players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Marvis Parrish, who threw for 167 yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Jacarre' Fleming, who rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown.
Camden County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Parks Riendeau led the charge by throwing for 169 yards and three touchdowns on only ten passes. Antonio Laws was another key contributor, rushing for 56 yards and two touchdowns.
Lowndes has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Camden County, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
Lowndes does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Camden County will head out on the road to face off against Newton at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
