The Lawrence Lions will take on the Grandview Bulldogs in a holiday battle at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday at. Lawrence is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Lawrence earned a 47-40 victory over Shawnee Mission East.
Meanwhile, Grandview had just enough and edged Fort Osage out 36-33 on Monday. Given Grandview's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 161st, while Fort Osage is ranked 342nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Jada Smith, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. The match was her third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sh?ryah Wright, who scored four points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Lawrence's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Grandview, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
