The Balboa Buccaneers's game on Wednesday was all tied up 30-30 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 61-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lowell. Balboa has not had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Balboa lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Je'Mon Brown, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine assists. Brown also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam San Juan, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Balboa has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Lowell, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.
Balboa will head out on the road to challenge the Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Galileo will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Lowell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bears at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Mission is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
