Basketball Recap: Damonte Ranch Piles Up the Points Against Carson

Damonte Ranch had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Carson Senators 72-45. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Damonte Ranch to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kin Vong, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 17 points. That's the most points Vong has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Drew Dodson, who posted 14 points and seven rebounds.

Damonte Ranch was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Damonte Ranch has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for Carson, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-16.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Damonte Ranch will face off against Reno at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Reno is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.2 points per game this season. As for Carson, they will challenge Reed at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
