Glenelg Country suffered their biggest loss since November 18, 2023 on Saturday. Their tough 72-51 loss to Friendship Tech Prep Academy might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Glenelg Country can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 94th in Maryland, while Friendship Tech Prep Academy is ranked seventh in District of Columbia).
Meanwhile, Archbishop Spalding came up short against Our Lady of Mount Carmel on Monday and fell 64-52.
Glenelg Country has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Archbishop Spalding, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-6.
