St. George's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They breezed past the North Panola Cougars to the tune of 36-6. The result was nothing new for the Gryphons, who have now won four contests by 27 points or more so far this season.

Despite the loss, North Panola saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kayden Chapman made 14 total tackles (3.0 for loss).

St. George's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for North Panola, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coming up, St. George's will challenge KIPP Collegiate at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Gryphons will be up against the phoenix's rather soft defense (which has allowed 25.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
