Basketball Recap: First Academy's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

First Academy hadn't done well against Hernando Christian Academy recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The First Academy Eagles came out on top against the Hernando Christian Academy Lions by a score of 28-20. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Hernando Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Briauna Richardson, who posted six points and seven rebounds. Richardson has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Neaya Richardson, who earned seven points and three steals.

First Academy's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Hernando Christian Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

First Academy has already played their next contest (against Lake Mary Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hernando Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 57-15 loss against Seven Rivers Christian on the 28th.
