They had just enough and edged Saucon Valley out 33-31. For Wilson Area, this counts as revenge for the 71-62 defeat Saucon Valley walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.
When it comes to explaining why Saucon Valley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Caleb Grim. Despite the final result, he scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jack Robertson, who scored 9 points along with 6 rebounds.
The win got Wilson Area back to even at 1-1. As for Saucon Valley, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
Wilson Area will be playing in front of their home fans against Pen Argyl at 7:05 p.m. on Monday. As for Saucon Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Jim Thorpe at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
