The Kimball Jaguars and the Patterson Tigers squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Kimball Jaguars had to settle for second. Kimball was beaten by Patterson 40-7. Kimball was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 24-0.
When it comes to explaining why Kimball lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jermaine Nance. Despite the final result, he rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. Nance really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run.
Max Medina was his usual excellent self, throwing for 227 yards and two touchdowns on only 18 passes, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Coby Joseph and his 100 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Patterson's win.
Kimball's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Patterson, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
Kimball does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Patterson will head out on the road to face off against Vista del Lago at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Vista del Lago is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
