Landmark Christian extended the longest winning streak in Sunshine State - South this week by beating Bishop McLaughlin Catholic, 81-15. The victory was the 10th in a row for the Patriots.
Landmark Christian took down the Hurricanes 81-15 last week, the largest margin of any game. Seth Johnson threw for 171 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 36 yards in the win.
Mark Burdon's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Keland White chipped in 228 yards. Justin Simpkins helped Landmark Christian's passing attack out by catching two balls for 65 yards.
Jawuan Mathis was the best wideout in the league this week as the Patriots beat Bishop McLaughlin Catholic. Mathis tallied seven receptions for 128 yards.
6-foot-0 quarterback R.J. Perciavalle of Derrick Alexander's team is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1102. He has also thrown seven touchdowns. On the ground, Landmark Christian's White has rushed for 1312 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Mathis. The Landmark Christian star has 17 catches for 439 yards.
A big matchup in Sunshine State - South this week will be when the Patriots take on Master's Academy. At the moment, Landmark Christian is in first, while the Eagles are in sixth.
Life Academy and Cornerstone Charter Academy played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Life Academy eventually emerging with a 30-24 victory.
