There's no place like home for the Green Mountain Rams, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They blew past Littleton 76-42 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Green Mountain has posted yet this season.
Green Mountain had a senior duo take command as Austin Beeson went 7 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and 2 assists and Blake Weslin dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Beeson has scored all season. Ameer Dowdell was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Green Mountain's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.8 points per game. As for Littleton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Green Mountain will take on Pomona at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pomona will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 278th, while Green Mountain is ranked 116th). Littleton won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Heritage at 2:30 p.m. on January 20th. Hopefully Heritage focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Thursday.
