If The Lehman Lobos were riding high off their 42-0 takedown of the MacArthur Brahmas last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Lehman took a 35-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of Boerne-Champion on Friday. While losing is never fun, Lehman can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 681st, while Boerne-Champion is ranked 232nd).
Defeat or not, Lehman got some senior leadership from Isaiah Hernandez who rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown and Noah Johne long who gained 64 total yards and two touchdowns.
Lehman's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 15.0 points per game. As for Boerne-Champion, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
Lehman will head out on the road to face off against Hays at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hays is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. As for Boerne-Champion, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against MacArthur at 7:00 p.m.
