The Buchanan Bears''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. Their rough 28-3 defeat to Clovis North might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Buchanan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 141st, while Clovis North is ranked eighth).

It was another big night for Jackson Cinfel, who rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Mckay Madsen and his 82 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Clovis North's victory.
Buchanan's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Clovis North, Clovis, and Rocklin. As for Clovis North, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buchanan will take on Clovis East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clovis East knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Buchanan likes a good challenge. As for Clovis North, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Central at 7:00 p.m. Central will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
