After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Edison, Jamaica was happy to have turned things around  on Monday. They were the clear victors by  an  11-3 margin over the Van Buren Vee Bees. The Beavers haven't had any issues with the Vee Bees recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive  win against them.

 Jasiah Curry was a  major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he  struck out ten batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned runs off   one  hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-4 with three  stolen bases, one  run,  and one  RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Jamaica's success: when he posts  at  least two  stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 1-5 when he doesn't).
 In other batting news, Jamaica let  Joshua Fonseca and  Tristan Coyoc run wild. Fonseca  got on base  in all five of his plate appearances with four  stolen bases, two  runs,  and two  RBI, while  Coyoc  went 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases, three  RBI,  and one  run. With that strong performance,  Fonseca is now averaging an impressive 1.3  stolen bases per game.  Alexander Valet also deserves some recognition as  he  brought in his first  RBI of the season.
The  victory  got Jamaica back to even at 5-5. As for Van Buren, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the  defeat, which was their eighth straight  at home dating back to last season.
