McLean won the last time they faced Herndon and things went their way on Friday too. The Highlanders blew past the Hornets 9-1. The result was nothing new for the Highlanders, who have now won 14 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

McLean's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Herndon, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

McLean will face off against Charles J. Colgan at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Highlanders 0.9, the Sharks 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Herndon, they will challenge George C. Marshall at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Statesmen have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
