The Butler Bulldogs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Putnam County 83-52 on the road. Butler has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 22 points or more this season.
Kwamane Bridges continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 8 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 28 points and 2 assists. His trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Bell, who scored ten points along with six assists and five rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Putnam County lost, one person who can't be blamed is Landon Bonner. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Zay Hargrove, who scored six points.
The win (which was Butler's third in a row) raised their record to 15-4. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 34 points. As for Putnam County, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Butler will take on Washington County at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Washington County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Tuesday. As for Putnam County, they will head out on the road to challenge Westside at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Westside will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
