Clinton and Maynard are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Gaels will challenge the Tigers at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Clinton is headed out to face Maynard after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Gaels were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Fitchburg on Wednesday.

Jake McNamara and Brian Silvester made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, McNamara pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Silvester didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2025. At bat, McNamara got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Silvester went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Clinton got a massive performance out of Grady Frisch, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs Frisch has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Andrew Mortimer, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Maynard waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Trojans get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The Tigers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
The team relied heavily on T. Lawton, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of E. Talcoff, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base.
Maynard always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Clinton got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Maynard by a conclusive 9-0 score. Do the Gaels have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
