Basketball Game Preview: Imagine Prep Storm vs. Skyline Prep Bengals

Imagine Prep has gone 4-0 against Skyline Prep recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Imagine Prep Storm just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Skyline Prep Bengals at 5:30 p.m. Imagine Prep is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.

On Monday, Imagine Prep was fully in charge, breezing past Dream City Christian 73-41. The Storm have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 24 points or more this season.

Imagine Prep got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dylan Eaddy out in front who went 6 of 11 en route to 15 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. Eaddy has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last three times he's played. Jaylen Cassidy was another key player, putting up nine points along with eight rebounds and six steals.

Meanwhile, Skyline Prep unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 56-55 to Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way. While losing is never fun, the Bengals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way are ranked ninth).

Imagine Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Skyline Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Imagine Prep took their win against Skyline Prep when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 77-53. The rematch might be a little tougher for Imagine Prep since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
