The biggest upset of the week belonged to Ridley, who took down 122nd ranked Penncrest, 20-15.
The Raiders scaled the state rankings by moving to 130 from 165 this week, the biggest jump in Central. Ridley was able to move up by topping the Lions 20-15.
Marple Newtown's dynamic duo of Tommy Davis and Nik Rhoads proved tough for Springfield to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Davis threw for 193 yards and 1 touchdown and Rhoads had 145 yards receiving. Brian Rosborough helped Marple Newtown's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 24 yards.
Zach Falcone was a key player and the best on defense this week as the Fightin' Tigers fell to the Cougars. The 6-foot-4 senior forced 1 fumble and racked up 1 sack.
Penncrest's Danny Fisher and LaVaughn Frame have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Fisher has thrown for 913 yards this season, while Frame has 25 catches for 494 yards. Springfield's Collin Braconnier leads the league in rushing yards with 745.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Rick Stroup's team takes on Upper Darby. As it stands, the Lions are in third, while the Royals are in second.
The league will see a high scoring game when Penncrest and Upper Darby face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Lions comes in having scored 178 this season, while Rich Gentile's team has scored 257. Penncrest scored 15 points last week as it lost to Dennis Decker's team.
Garnet Valley added to the longest winning streak in Central this week by beating Haverford, 36-6. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.
