The Bartram Trail Bears had to endure a 13-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 40-37 win over Nease on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Bartram Trail has posted yet this season.
Nease lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being McKenna Owens, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Abilgail Robinson, who scored six points along with three steals.
Bartram Trail's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-13. As for Nease, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bartram Trail will square off against Sandalwood at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sandalwood is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. As for Nease, Nease and Creekside will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Creekside will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
