The Girard College Cavaliers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took down Morrisville 55-38. The victory was just what Girard College needed coming off of a 73-23 defeat in their prior contest.
Brendan Curtis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Amadu Mansaray, who scored seven points along with six assists and five steals.
The victory got Girard College back to even at 2-2. As for Morrisville, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Girard College will be home for the holidays to greet Germantown Friends at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Germantown Friends will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 343rd, while Girard College is ranked sixth). Morrisville won't have much time to rest: their next game is against MAST Community Charter at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th.
