This season hasn't been kind to the Trinity School of Texas Titans, who are still winless after their sixth contest. They had to suffer through a rough 44-14 loss at the hands of Heritage Christian.
Heritage Christian found their leader in underclassman Deanna Montgomery, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine steals. Montgomery is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ali Orchard, who scored eight points along with six steals.
Trinity School of Texas dropped their record down to 0-6 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.8 points per game. As for Heritage Christian, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-6.
Coincidentally, Trinity School of Texas and the Eagles will both be playing the Saints the next time they take the court. Heritage Christian will head out to face First Baptist at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Trinity School of Texas will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on February 9th.
