The Fayette Ware Wildcats can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They breezed by Haywood at home to the tune of 70-32. The victory was familiar territory for Fayette Ware who now have three in a row.
Fayette Ware was led to victory by Markala Terry and Ke'miyah Buggs. Terry scored 22 points, while Buggs scored 24 points. Buggs is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 17 or more in the last three games she's played. Markea Herron was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Haywood lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Zakaeria Diggs, who scored no points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Macie Ferrell, who scored six points.
Fayette Ware's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Haywood, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fayette Ware will take on the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bolivar Central knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully the Wildcats like a good challenge. As for Haywood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bolton has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 7.
