The Hampton County Hurricanes lost against the Bluffton Bobcats back in November, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Hampton County took a serious blow against Bluffton, falling 60-33. Hampton County has struggled against Bluffton recently, as their game on Saturday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Tacoya Heyward continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bluffton, almost dropping a triple-double on 20 points, ten assists, and nine steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Heyward has scored at least 25% of Bluffton's points. Another player making a difference was Amirah Brown, who scored 18 points along with three steals.
Hampton County now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Bluffton, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Hampton County will head out on the road to face off against Battery Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Bluffton's road trip will continue as they head out to face Greer at 4:00 p.m. on December 22nd. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Amiyah Clark-Lamelle and Heyward.
