The Bethlehem Catholic Hawks will take on the Freedom Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bethlehem Catholic is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.
On Friday, Bethlehem Catholic came up short against Nazareth Area and fell 8-4. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Bethlehem Catholic saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joseph Casciano, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Caden Deegan was another, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last game, Freedom made sure to put some runs up on the board against Phillipsburg on Monday. The Patriots walked away with a 13-8 win over the Stateliners.
Ryan Kullman made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
In other batting news, John Phillips was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Michael Cobb, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Freedom's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Bethlehem Catholic, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
