The Braintree Wamps had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took their game on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 36-6 victory over Newton North. Considering Braintree has won three contests by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Among those leading the charge was James Curry, who rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns.
Braintree's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Newton North, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Braintree will be playing in front of their home fans against Brockton at 5:50 p.m. on Friday. As for Newton North, they will head out on the road to face off against Attleboro at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Attleboro is on a three-game streak of home losses, Newton North a six-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change.
