Basketball Recap: Santaluces Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Santaluces won the last time they faced West Boca Raton, and Jaedeyn Garvin did her part to make sure it happened again. The Santaluces Chiefs came out on top against the West Boca Raton Bulls by a score of 42-32 on Saturday thanks in part to Garvin, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last four games she's played.

West Boca Raton's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sophia Krefsky, who posted 13 points. That was a full 40.6% of West Boca Raton's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Brianna Morgan, who went 5 for 12 on her way to 11 points and eight rebounds.

Santaluces is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for West Boca Raton, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Santaluces has already played their next matchup, a 60-42 win against Coconut Creek on the 14th. As for West Boca Raton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 59-28 defeat against Coral Springs Charter on the 13th.
