The Hazleton Area Cougars won the last time they faced the Pottsville Crimson Tide, and things went their way on Saturday too. Hazleton Area came out on top against Pottsville by a score of 54-47. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Hazleton Area.
Pottsville's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Letrel Montone, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Christian Alvarez, who scored 12 points.
Hazleton Area now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Pottsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hazleton Area will take on Reading at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pottsville, they will be playing at home against Tamaqua at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
