On Friday Geneva Classical Academy take on Town 'N Country Christian Academy at 6:30 PM. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
After a string of three wins, Geneva Classical Academy's good fortune finally ran out last Friday. They were given a punishing 25-64 loss at the hands of Peniel Baptist Academy. A silver lining for Geneva Classical Academy was the play of senior Nicholas Katzaras, who picked up 89 yards on the ground and threw 2 TDs. If you haven't heard Katzaras's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past four games.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Town 'N Country Christian Academy, and their matchup last Friday only extended their streak of losses to five. They were completely outmatched, falling 18-53 to Hillsborough Baptist. Town 'N Country Christian Academy were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 6-33.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the win. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
