Millbrook is 7-0 against Knightdale since November of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Millbrook Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Knightdale Knights at 6:15 p.m. Hopefully Millbrook focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Millbrook ended up a good deal behind Wakefield and lost 61-42. While losing is never fun, Millbrook can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 382nd, while Wakefield is ranked 97th).
Despite the defeat, Millbrook saw an underclassman step up: Lauren Brown scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brown has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Knightdale was just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 44-43 to Broughton. Knightdale has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Millbrook's record now sits at 3-14. Knightdale's record now sits at 10-7.
Millbrook strolled past Knightdale in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a score of 62-46. Does Millbrook have another victory up their sleeve, or will Knightdale turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
