When it comes to explaining why Mt. Zion lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jaki Bell. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja'Shy Mackey, who scored eight points.
Paul W. Bryant pushed their record up to 13-3 with that win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.9 points per game. As for Mt. Zion, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
Paul W. Bryant won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Shades Valley at 5:30 p.m. on December 29, 2023. Shades Valley will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Mt. Zion is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Hampton at 7:30 p.m. on January 2nd.
