Football Recap: Penns Manor Comes Up Short

Penns Manor had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 3-6 to make it seven. They had to suffer through a 44-14 loss at the hands of United Valley co-op [Blacklick Valley/United]. If the Comets were looking for revenge after losing 27-0 to United Valley co-op [Blacklick Valley/United] when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Penns Manor still got an impressive performance from Brady Lewis, who picked up 111 receiving yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 34 yards. Lewis was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 63 yards. Penns Manor also got a significant boost from Justin Vojtek, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 116 yards.

As for United Valley co-op [Blacklick Valley/United], the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3. The result was nothing new for United Valley co-op [Blacklick Valley/United], who have now won four matchups by 28 points or more so far this season.

United Valley co-op [Blacklick Valley/United]'s win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shaydon Oleksa, who rushed for 135 yards and one score on only ten carries. Another player making a difference was Cole McGinnis, who picked up 87 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
