Ocoee and Colonial are an even 4-4 against one another since September of 2016, but not for long. The Knights are taking a road trip to face off against the Grenadiers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ocoee is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
On Tuesday, Ocoee made easy work of Central Pointe Christian Academy and carried off a 3-0 victory.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Ocoee took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-13, 25-11.

Ocoee's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Maya Henderson led the charge by getting eight aces, seven kills, and four digs. Those eight aces gave Henderson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Proper, who had seven kills, seven digs, and five aces.
They weren't the only good server: Ocoee was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 24 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Colonial lost 3-0 to Edgewater on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Grenadiers in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.
The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-14, 25-22.
Colonial's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Ocoee, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
Everything went Ocoee's way against Colonial in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Ocoee made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Grenadiers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
